Spring is here and it is the ideal time for detox and rejuvenation for overall health. As you experience increase in daylight and temperature, there are great opportunities to improve and optimize health. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), spring is associated with the Wood element and the energetic organ Liver, which is responsible for the smooth flowing of Qi (energy) and managing stress. Therefore, you may reduce stress to optimize Liver health which will indeed support the flow of Qi. One of the most important functions of the Liver is to detox. Although detox is about eliminating toxins, it may come in various forms and thus different methods need to be utilized.
